It's really important that you make sure that the cover of the cap get pushed all the way in, on top of the rubber gasket.

Gladiators only require 2 lock covers (front doors only), snap caps or covers. On the Gladiators, the tailgate lock is integrated with the handle, and doesn’t require a cover.
